Exam Pattern for the SSC CPO Exam
Exams to fill the positions of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in various central government police organizations, including the Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and others, are given by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). These exams are given as part of the Central Police Organization (CPO). The following is the examination pattern for the SSC CPO:
Paper-I:
- The test is done entirely in the online format.
- The test will take a total of two hours to complete.
- The test has a total of 200 questions to choose from, and each one is worth one mark.
- The test is broken up into four different sections: general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and awareness, quantitative aptitude, and English comprehension.
- There are fifty questions in each section, and each question is worth fifty marks.
- PET and PST stand for the Physical Endurance Test and the Physical Standard Test, respectively.
- Candidates who earn a passing score on Paper I will be invited to participate in the PET/PST.
- The Physical Endurance Test (PET) is comprised of a variety of various physical activities, which varied depending on the candidate’s gender.

A Test Of Physical Endurance Will Be Given To Male Candidates
The following activities are part of the Physical Endurance Test (PET) that male candidates in the SSC CPO test must complete:
- 100-meter dash: In this portion of the competition, the participant is tasked with running 100 meters in under 16 seconds.
- 1.6-kilometre race: The participant in this activity is required to complete a run of 1600 meters (1.6 kilometres) in less than 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
- In the long jump portion of the competition, the participant will have three opportunities to achieve a distance of 3.65 meters.
- In the high jump portion of the competition, the participant is given three opportunities to clear a bar that is 1.2 meters high.
- The candidate will be required to toss a shot put weighing 16 pounds at a minimum distance of 4.5 meters to successfully complete this activity.
